Dear Parents/Carers
Due to the ongoing roofing works to the junior department, Y5 will need to enter and leave the building via the junior library door.
A storage cabin and rubbish skip are also on site, they are clearly fenced and marked. Some areas of the building have scaffolding attached. When accompanying Y3 and Y4 pupils to class please take care.

R L Hughes Primary school is an Infant and Junior school catering for children between five and eleven and is administered by Wigan Education Authority. It also has a Nursery Unit for children aged three and four who attend on a part time basis.
The school at present has over 500 pupils and takes a maximum of 70 children in any one year. There are 22 teaching staff who are well qualified in primary teaching. Ancillary and welfare staff also help with the smooth running of the school.
