Welcome to R L Hughes Primary School.


We are a large, busy and friendly school.  This website aims to give you a taste of the school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact our school directly with any queries you may have. If you have any ideas about the content of our site please let us know via the school office.

We are very proud of our school and our children. We all work very hard and have fun too.

    Just a reminder that school closes tomorrow (Friday 26 May), for half term, and re-open on Monday 5 June at 8.45am.
  • Own clothes day
    Just a reminder that children can come to school in their own clothes tomorrow (Friday 26 May) in exchange for £1.00 or a bar of chocolate for our Summer Fair.
  • School photos and snack and milk orders
    Just a reminder that tomorrow (Thursday 18 May) is the last day for snack and milk and photograph orders.
  • School closure - summer 2017
    You will receive a letter today either a hard copy or by email regarding important information about our summer school closure - July 2017. If you do not receive a copy, the letter can be found on our website . Click on the parents tab, then letters.
  • School photographs
    The closing date for ordering your child's photograph is Thursday 18 May.
